A programme of Viennese Bon-Bons. Vienna-born, Erich Binder became Concert Master of the Vienna Philharmonic in 1974, a position he still holds; in 1981 he won the Karl Bohm Conducting Competition in Salzburg and since 1982 has also been conductor of the Vienna State Opera. He leads the orchestra in a programme of music and song by Viennese composers, including Johann Strauss Jnr, Strauss and Joseph Strauss and Eric Kreisler. |
