Description |
First performed by DanceWorks at the Collingwood Town Hall, Melbourne. The set was a large bamboo and silk construction which became, through moving, an organisational and structural component in the work. The movement material was choreographed in a small "modular" phrases, not unlike the score, and repeated with spatial and rhythmic variations. Glass Parts was the first in a series of pieces that examined the use of highly formal structures and organisational principals. it relates to other pieces like Open Weave and in the less obvious ways to As The Crow Flies and the Retort Series. |
