Pyralis explores the element of fire. Les Gilbert has created a dramatic sound score of roaring bush fires and what might be harsh metallic cracks of buckling roof iron. The high energy dancing is exacting in its rhythmic structure as the dancers slap their hands on the floor and against their bodies to give the effect of fire cracking. |
