| Description | Of all the characters Reg Livermore hs introduced to the stage over twenty-four years, Leonard is the only one to have appeared in all of his shows. Initially created as a tribute to the great Australian comic Roy Rene (Mo), Leonard quickly took control of his own identity and we have snce shared the intimate vagaries of his life.
From a young and successful male model, to his latest situation as a hilarious old codger in a nursing home, Leonard manages to engage our sympathy because he is both sadly pathetic and ultimately moving. His outspoken commentary, opinions and reflections about wives and children, extra-marital romances, sex and psyche are as far away from political correctness as you are likely to find. Reg Livermore, a consummate performer and Australia's greatest clown, again demonstrates his ability to reach every member of the audience in this hilarious reverie of the rage and helplessness of old age, its lost dreams and emotional incontinence. |
