| Description |
A survivor of the battle the trenches of the Western Front lies in his hospital bed after repatriation: an unknown soldier in a vegetative state, his body battered and burnt, his face eaten away by explosives and rats. A medical officer resolves to find his loved ones, thus assembling a group of disparate of men and women shaken by loss in very different ways. A snapshot of Australia in the days following 'the war to end all wars'. |
