Movement was created based on the shape, meaning and rhythm of text taken from newspaper headlines. After being manipulated, both the movement and music transcend their original meaning. The form of the dance is like reading a newspaper, the action flips from article to article, changing the stage space as the pages turn. Sections of the dance are seen like articles on a page ? they are defined by their position, headlines, column width and accompanying photographs. J |
