Description |
A theatre performance that invites its audience to gain control over two artists. The structure is simple: two performers stand onstage and receive real-time SMS commands from the audience. Placing themselves in the hands of the audience, they will do what they are told. As to how the show will turn out, that will depend on each crowd, and how they use their power. The Short Message Service is part game, part experiment, and all performance. It examines the ethical responsibilities of having control over someone else; how a crowd mentality can take over, and how fun it can be to have someone. |
