| Description |
Advertised a dramatic recital, 'Shadows,' a 'humorous and refined' musical sketch representing 'highly amusing episodes from the life of both high and low classes of society, interspersed with appropriate musical items.' But due to indisposition, Gwen Davis replaced her songs with a recitation 'neither humorous or clever,' the rendition of which was 'appropriately mediocre.' The reviewer, 'lacking the moral courage' to stay, left at interval. |
