When Anthony Menchetti told his hyper-religious parents he was gay they decided to send him to a christian gay conversion school in the hope of straightening him out. The story of his journey through this futile institution is ripe with curiosities, from the idiosyncrasies of his family, through to the individual struggles of his classmates and instructor. Menchetti treats his subject matter with a charmingly wry and casually anthropological sensibility supported by media, images, audio and props. |
