| Description |
Be mesmerised by bold and vibrant fusion of contemporary and classical Indian dance, based around an ancient Indian theory of aesthetics known as "Rasa". Casula Powerhouse debuts this sensuous dance work from the Asian diaspora in a stunning collaboration between classical Indian dance icon, Anandavalli and Malaysian dance doyen Ramli Ibrahim. Eight dancers will be acccompanied by a cross-cultural orchestra, led by Alex Dea on traditional Javanese vocals and rebab with an Indian Carnatic vocalist and classical percussionist. |
