| Description | Pitjantjara is a Central Desert language spoken by roughly 2,500 people and is one of more than 500 indigenous languages that face extinction. Creator Trevor Jamieson is joined on stage by elders and young people from the Pitjantjara community to share his compelling story through traditonal singing, western songs sung in Pitjantjara , film and storytelling.
Performed over five evenings, each performance revolves around a different key area of Pitjantjara life: Anangu (Body), Walytja (Family), Ngura (country), Tjukurpa(Law and culture). |
