Ribbons Of Steel was a series of large scale, visually spectacular performances commemorating and celebrating the 84 years of BHP steelmaking in Newcastle, marking the day of closure. My Aching Back was presented by Ommi Theatre, and encapsulates the effects of heavy industry upon the human body. In this piece it is not the skin of the body that is itching, it is the soul of the worker. |
