| Description | In Act One The Bangladesh Cultural Troupe consisting of 13 musicians and dancers will perform a program encompassing traditional as well as contemporary music and dance. In Act Two the Theatre of Ritual Dance will present ritual dances from Sri Lanka. Ritual dances can be for healing, fertility, harvesting rituals or general invocation for the blessings of the Gods. There are three basic ritual traditions which are all precise and set to mathematical "thalas" and rhythmic time measures requiring perfect understanding between drummer and dancer. | |||||
