An evening of choreopoems featuring the works of four Afro-American women poets - Ntozake Shange, Thulani Davis-Jarmon, Earlene Smith and Alfre Woodard. The poems explore many aspects of life, love and growing up female. Actress Aku Kadogo and composer Caroline Thompson fused music and words to create moods and atmospheres. The poems are funny, reflective, sensual and sassy. |
