| Description |
Premiere of new works from two of New Zealand's most exciting choreographers in a triple bill line up. Dunedin's own Daniel Belton choreographs The Happy Prince, a modern-day translation of the Oscar Wilde fairytale. Enchanting and profoundly affecting, this special Otago Festival commission features costumes by fashion luminary Tanya Carlson. A private passion, an intimate embrace: Wellington's Turid Revfeim turns up the heat for the tango-infused Si Supieras (If You Knew), a new work to music by Jonathan Besser. Riveting and ritualistic, Venezuelan Javier De Frutos' Milagros is set to Stravinsky's iconic Rite of Spring. |
