Based on an idea by Elaine Feinstein. A contemporary prequel to King Lear which delves into the childhood of Goneril, Regan and Cordelia. brought up by their nurse and the Fool. Influenced by a 1980s feminist viewpoint, it explores the relationship of the three daughters and their absent father, as well as the pressures of living a royal life. |
