The popular Gilbert and Sullivan opera 'The Pirates of Penzance' will be presented in Wellington for three nights next week by an all-Services' cast. Navy, Army, and Air Force units have contributed to the company of 50, which has been rehearsing for some time under the direction of Miss Helen Gard'ner. The musical director is Captain Harry Brusey. The chorus work will be a feature of the show. Proceeds will go to patriotic funds. (Evening Post, 28 Feb 1944).
