| Description | Adapted from Edmond Rostand's classic tale.Penny and Marbrook founded Theatre at Large with producer Heather Lee in 1990 as an independent company. Their aim was to turn out collaborative work that derived its roots from the European tradition, while striving for a particularly antipodean slant. As a result of this philosophy, says Penny, its production of Cyrano borrows from such traditions as farce, commedia del arte, clowning, naive theatre and epic tragedy. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
