| Description | Director has taken a post-modernist twist: 'I began by looking at it in the artistic sense from a Salvador Dali viewpoint with a little dash from the films Labyrinth and City of the Lost Children, as well as Alice in Wonderland, which have given it, I hope, a surreal, somewhat skewed angle. The play lends itself quite well to that sort of thing, it is quite a black comedy. 'The costumes have also been given a wonderful avant-garde spin by former design student Catherine Watts. She has included elements of the 1920s and the 1990s - lots of bold colours and lines. The costuming integrates very nicely with the set and with what I have wanted to draw out of it.'… | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
