Description A touching reflection on the rival forces of family, class, and the origins and ownership of art. A sensitive and restrained tale of love and loss. Set against a background of tradition, duty and expectation in a conservative rural Yorkshire home in 1960 when homosexuality was illegal, the play's central plot explores the delicate development of a secretive relationship between a Yorkshire farmer and an assistant play director from London.
