| Description |
In Chalk Circle Brecht looks at the moral goodness of Grusha who reluctantly takes charge of a child who is wanted for his life and thus risks her own life as she flees with him from the pursuing army...it is an examination of the diversity of human reactions in hard times, made worse by war. |
