| Description |
Daisy Bates is best know as an anachronistic figure, who spent the first half of this century camping with "the natives" in the outback, armoured in Victorian dress. The controversy is over whether she remained with the tribes of Western Australia to protect them, or to supervise their segregation from whites, and their projected demise. the play presents her in a public talk as she might have been seen by audiences later in her life. |
