Stagestruck is a 1978 comedy thriller...it's a whodunnit, howdunnit, what's-been-done extravaganza. Anne is an actress with a monstrous ego married to Robert who is, according to Anne, an insulting lousy adulterer. After seven years of marriage, Anne tells Robert to sling his hook..this play set just months before the advent of Thatcherism, has running gags of everyone being on strike, from the trains to the police who can't make it to a murder report. |
