| Description |
Described as a modern drama, it was written by Ugo Betti, an Italian judge who died in 1953. The play deals with the attempted escape of a fugitive queen from an occupied country. At the frontier she befriends a girl, who unknown to her, is a woman of the streets. The girl, Argia, is touched by the honour the queen pays her and offers to help her. |
