Description |
The Steward of Christendom is a lyrical and moving story of one man's journet to true freedom.
In a strongly cast production, Donal McCann gives an unforgettable performance as Thomas Dunne, former Superintendent of Dublin Metropolitan Police until civil war erupts. Once responsbile for Dublin Castle, the very heart of British rule in Ireland, now he holds the fort of his bare asylum room against the force and intrusion of his memories. Ever present are images of his three daughters and the shadow of his young son, lost in the Great War.
