Description Wellington's oldest and largest professional theatre has maintained a very high reputation. Their productions of both classical and contemporary theatre have been consistently praised for their energy and imagination. Henrik Ibsen's masterpiece, "Hedda Gabler," is the most universally admired of his plays. It is a study of a woman frustrated by social convention. The play will be done in a new translation by Christopher Hampton (who was responsible for "Dangerous Liaisons"). Heading a cast of first class actors will be award-winning New Zealand actor, Catherine Wilkin.
