Description Playwright Adam Bock’s The Colby Sisters of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania follows the lives of five sisters from a privileged background with a troubled family history. Immersed in New York’s social elite, there’s magnificent frocks, galas and gossip. But underneath the gilded surface of seemingly fabulous lives is a layer of control, emanating from a place of love and fear, that creates a toxic excess. An appearance that has to be maintained. At all costs. The balance of power shifts within a complex web of perception and control. No one on the outside really understands these women at all.
