"These are large (life-size) photographs of girls arranged in attitudes that might express grief or passion were it not for their frozen immobility. There is an interest in things like - the way light falls on the body; the way bodies themselves fall or resist falling and a whole economy of expression and gesture which seems to be, more than anything else, one of restraint." |
