Japanese Video Art has a long history beginning with the Sony Corporation who invented the first Video portapak in the early 60s. Now there are many video artists exhibiting in Japan with projects ranging from the lyrical to the analytical. There is a sense of hastened time in Video by younger artists to the work of more established artists who feel that their work is an alternative to the fast pace of television..."
