Description | "Girls and women are often intimidated by technology, perhaps because of its identification with the seemingly "masculine" worlds of machines, mathematics and science. Thus the aim of this project is to introduce computers and digital electronics through the medium of computer-generated graphics and animation. An intrinsic part of the process will also be an exploration of both the artistic possibilities and the social implications of this new technology."
This lecture forms part of Sally Pryor's artist-in-residency with The Performance Space titled Women, Art and Technology from 26 June - 5 August 1989. |
