Description "Performance art is a temporal event or activity of a particular time or place. The performer is at once author, narrator, choreographer, player or maker.

Craft is usually perceived as a silent, docile object activated by function or contemplation, and is legitimately explored in technical and semantic terms: I came, I made, you used. But by viewing the craft process theatrically as performance, its transitory and dynamic nature is understood with greater clarity. The temporality of performance reveals a ritual of making meaning through process.

The conventional presentation of craft in exhibition focuses attention on form, content and skill of process, however this inevitably leaves essential territory of meaning unexplored."
