Further Information This appears to be the first performance in the new wing of the Asylum: 'a handsomely appointed concert or lecture room, which has been decorated by an artist who is undergoing penal servitude', presumably in the adjoining Fremantle Prison. A temporary stage was erected for the performance. The room is probably the one referred to on later occasions as the dining hall.
