Description The century-old Clifton School of Arts building stands sentinel-like on a cliff top overlooking the Pacific Ocean at Scarborough in the Illawarra. The September equinox makes this the ideal setting for observing and meditating on the harbingers of Spring: plants budding, insects emerging, and migrating shorebirds returning from their Northern hemisphere breeding grounds. Come on a guided nature walk, followed by an experimental word-painting workshop with artist Barbara Campbell and calligrapher Franz Cheung to draw forth the coming season.
