Over the past ten years Mukaiyama has transformed herself from being a concert pianist to a performance pianist. No longer only about the music itself, she now turns the experience around to give focus to the spatial and perceptual experience of music for audiences. In this new work for the Biennale, the pianist disappears and the audience are left facing one another. |
