Series of 8 exciting debut concerts featuring gifted young Australian performers. The recital is one of the rites of passage for the young singer or instrumentalist, and the Debut Series is designed to establish a national platform for their talent.
This final recital features talented Miriam Gormley - soprano. Born in Papua New Guinea, Miriam won the 1985 Commonwealth ABC instrumental and vocal competition and in the same year the coveted Covent garden Scholarship. She has been described as having a winning personality, a winning smile and a voice that has been winning every major competition in sight! This exciting concert features works by Schubert, Schumann, Wolf, Rodrigo, Ravel, Weill, Poulenc & Negro spirituals. |
