Two sisters, Lady Mary, a widow, and Lady Lillian, inherit a Belgravian mansion without the income necessary for its upkeep. Lady Mary’s husband, Mr. Crabbe, had made the aquaintance of a warm-hearted family by the name of Pidgeon.
