| Description |
Barb Barnett plays Nurse Ratched and Ben Drysdale is Randle McMurphy in Tom O'Neill's production of Dales Wasserman's adaptation of Ken Kesey's novel about the inmates and staff of an institution for the mentally disturbed. McMurphy escapes a goal sentence for rape by claiming insanity and finds himself in the institution. He comes up against the formidable Nurse Ratched as he attempts to thwart the rules and regulations of the institution with serious consequences. Funny, anarchic and insightful O'Neill's production highlights the battle of wills between the individual and the institution. |
