Notes Originally known as the York Hotel the lease was acquired by James Warman and renamed. In 1856 a Masonic Lodge was developed, this hall was used mainly as a utility concert hall and public meeting venue. Later a New Masonic Hall was built in Castlereagh Street and was also used for these purposes.
