Buildings on left and right with arches and tiling and a black boat in port in background with yellow cloth framing the scene. Handwritten in pencil underneath image "Merchant of Venice (ideas)." Reference on the verso side to the JCW production "The Gondoliers", JC Williamson, 1962.
