Title Playwright to visit Sydney
Abstract/Description Miss Catherine Duncan, author of the prize-winning play, "Sons of the Morning," in the recent Playwrights' Advisory Board competition, is expected to arrive in Sydney to-day from Melbourne. She will attend a performance of her play by the Kuring-gai Theatre Guild to-night. The Playwrights' Advisory Board will entertain a party at thc Metropolitan Theatre on June 19, when the winners of the second prize, Miss Gwen Meredith, and the third prize. Miss Dymphna Cusack, will also be present. Miss Meredith's play. "Positions Vacant," will be produced by the Independent Theatre for a season beginning on July 3. Miss Cusack's play is entitled "They Also Serve." On behalf of Mulga Publications, which will publish the plays by Miss Duncan and Miss Cusack, and probably a revised version of the play by Miss Meredith, Mr. Hartney Arthur will give a late afternoon party on June 21.
