Title Witch body puppet from Hansel and Gretel
Abstract/Description Puppet worn by puppeteer; head of puppet fits on top of head of wearer. Head of puppet made of painted fabric with large hook nose, bulging eye sockets and protruding chin. Eyes are made of blue metallic substance painted red, a red plastic ball on pin head at centre of pupil. Facial features painted in brown, red and blue. Mouth has larger lower lip and thin line for top lip. Piece of foam protrudes from left side of mouth. Orange strips of material and pipe cleaners painted orange frame face and protrude from under purple bonnet of cloak. Bonnet is made of polyester and gathered around the sides of face and the back. Purple fabric forms a long bib at the front. Rest of cloak is made of green velvet. Grey gloves, unevenly stained a flesh colour, are sewn to green cloak. Large discoloured white straps on inside enabled puppet to be secured in place when worn. Opening of black felt at the front enables puppeteer to see and breathe. n/d.
