Fran is an unsuccessful yet self important Beat Poet from 1959 struggling with her middleclass upbringing and attempting to become a true bohemian. Through a strange series of events, she finds herself suddenly in Melbourne in 2011. All style and no substance, she attempts to make sense of her new milieu through poor spoken word, awkward interpretive dance and passable jazz. All aided by her sexually ambiguous life partner Grüg and Grüg?s large instrument. |
