| Description |
Four-act drama. A divorced woman is refused custody of her child since she wishes to leave the country to earn her living, despite this right existing in English law. In a scene set in Parliament the bill is defeated by an unsympathetic Premier. In a play within the play the woman acts out her own story to onstage audience. |
