Description Hundreds were turned away. Programme consisted of about 26 items, most of Glenn Miller's music was featured - Dark Eyes, Norm McMahon - Norm ("Silver") Bickerton, Cliff Neate and Iris Bickerton staged comedy sketches to enable the gandsmen to rest. The sketches included "Interruptions", a description of how to rubbish an act; "Going to the Pictures" and "Two Gangsters". The sketches kept the crowd in merry mood and provided variety. - Another popular item was "Drummin' Man", a Gene Krupa drum feature, in which Des Egan played the drums. - Cliff Neat with "All the Time" and Alan Greentrees with "Jealousy" were vocal features, and saxophonist John Strickland was at his best in "Come Back to Sorrento". Harry James' composition "Trumpet Blues and Cantabile featured - Vincent Keenan, Hartley Harvey, Norm McMahon - Roy Mitchell - Norm McMahon was producer and conductor and Norm Bickerton and Cliff Neate were comperes as well as presenting the comedies.
