Description The three scenes took place in the living room of a middle class Brooklyn home, which was given the desire atmosphere by a period setting. The story is full of subtle humor and surprises. As eccentric spinsters (the Brewster sisters) Marion Henry was "Abby" and Drusie Cox was "Martha." The former (in the eyes of their friends and relatives, including nephew Mortimer and Rev. Dr. Harper) were the essence of decorum and generosity, but carried their sympathetic natures to the extent of eliminating 12 lonely gentlemen.
