First performance of plays by the newly formed Fremantle Amateur Dramatic Corps in the renovated theatre at The Freemasons Hotel, Fremantle. The new drop-scene was a 'pretty' but inaccurate view of Perth. Mr Michael Samson spoke a prologue 'taken from an entertainment somewhere at home [UK].' The cast was all-male; the dresses worn by Mr Marmion (Sarah) and Mr Davis (Mrs Moggridge) exhibited 'taste.' Acting and scenery 'were 'beyond all expectation.'
