Description Darius is an African-American death row inmate convicted of murdering a white man. Rick Dayne is a leading journalist intrigued by Darius' claims of innocence and his ideas of prison reform. When Rick meets the charismatic prisoner, he feels compelled to get Darius' sixteen-year-old murder conviction overturned. Rick's girlfriend, Katya, is worried that Darius is too good to be true, while Darius' ex-girlfriend Opal is not so happy to see him on the outside. With freedom, Darius can lead the life he wants, become a political speaker, run for the Senate or perhaps even one day the US President
