Description |
The scene is a roof patio overlooking the beach at Bondi in the home of Kevin Donnelly, a successful bookmaker. [...] The exposition of the plot and its accompanying characterisation proceeded smoothly and definitely in act 1, and the elements of the conflicting forces soon became apparent. These forces found their centre in Joe, the younger son of the family who, married to an unsatisfactory wife, had not found his true self or his maturity. |
