Ella Peterson works as an operator for a phone answering service, but she is more concerned for her customers than the job warrants, or the law allows. She goes out of her way to help people, in particular playwright Jeff Moss, who is rapidly losing confidence, and with whom she falls in love. Unwittingly, she helps Sandor, A Viennese SP Bookie, thinking that he is a phone order record salesman. The answering service is on the brink of being cloased down by the police when justice prevails. After a misunderstanding Jeff and Ella are reunited and all those she has helped find success. |
