Description | The story is of a rascally but attractive salesman of musical instruments and band uniforms, Professor Harold Hill, shuttling about the mid-west towns of America, in the early 1900s and prevailing small town people to outfit school bands on promising its members to play. He cannot read a note of music and leaves town in a hurry after collecting his money and breaking a few hearts. In River City, he collects his money but falls in love with Marion Paroo. |
